Thirty years of safety decking
Graceland is The Original Safety Deck Company. We have been surveying, supplying and installing platform decking on UK sites since 1996 — thirty years of doing this and nothing else — and we still do every step of it ourselves, from the first site visit to the final dismantle.
Our yard is in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. From there we cover Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, East Anglia and the Midlands as core regions, and work nationwide beyond them.

What we actually do
We are a supply-and-install specialist, not a hire desk and not a manufacturer. A project comes to us and we do every step of it: a site survey, a plan and RAMS, a delivery window, a two- or three-person install crew, and a dismantle once the trades above are finished. One point of contact from first call to final collection.
We install Trad Deck, the yellow plastic system that descends directly from Paul's original 1996 design. We also install G-Deck where a steel system is the right answer. We're system-agnostic on purpose — the right deck is the one that fits the job, not the one the hire company happens to have on the yard.

The founders
Paul Darrington founded Graceland in 1996 and still runs the business day-to-day alongside Ewan Craig. Between them they will pick up the phone, quote a survey, walk a site, and sign off a plan. There is no middle layer. If the deck on your site needs a decision, the people making it are the people who have been in this category since it started.
Load Class 3 under BS EN 12811-1:2003. SWL 2.0 kN/m² UDL. Class B material fragility under ACR[M]001:2014. Thirty years of doing nothing else.

Part of a bigger group
Graceland is the sister company to Beresford's Flooring Ltd, an in-situ concrete contractor working on steel-framed buildings across the UK. The relationship gives us the operational backbone of a larger group: CDM experience at tier-one scale, an established HR and training function, and a commercial team that has negotiated programme and price with every national housebuilder in the country.
Visually and editorially we are Graceland. Behind the scenes, the Beresford's group is why a specialist installer based in St Neots can put a crew on a care-home site in Kent within 7 days of an order.
