Graceland in Cambridgeshire

Cambridgeshire is home turf. Graceland is based in St Neots and the county is the place we work most days of the year — Cambridge to the south-east, Peterborough to the north, Huntingdon and Ely on the doorstep, Wisbech and the Fenland edge an easy run. The A1 runs through us, the A14 runs east-west across the top, the A428 puts Cambridge inside an hour for almost any postcode, and the M11 picks up the south of the county for anything heading toward the city's biotech belt. If your site is in Cambridgeshire, the survey conversation usually starts the same week you call.

What we install across Cambridgeshire

Most Cambridgeshire installs are Trad Deck — the polypropylene panel system rated to Load Class 3 under BS EN 12811-1:2003 with a safe working load of 2.0 kN/m² UDL inclusive of operatives and Class B material fragility under ACR[M]001:2014. Trad Deck is the default for housebuilding plots, care-home blocks and apartment frames where the bays repeat cleanly.

On suitable commercial work around Cambridge biotech and Peterborough distribution, G-Deck Lite offers fast handling and a rigid steel mesh platform, sometimes alongside Trad Deck on the same job. Either is a fall-prevention working platform, not a crash deck, and the Handover Certificate names the system explicitly.

Who we work with in Cambridgeshire

The Cambridgeshire construction mix runs across most of what Graceland does. National and regional housebuilders put new plots in around St Neots, Huntingdon, Cambourne, Northstowe and the new growth corridors out of Cambridge. Commercial principal contractors run Cat-A and Cat-B fit-outs across the Cambridge biomedical campus, the Peterborough industrial belt and the new business parks along the A14. Care-home operators commission new build and refurbishment work right across the county. We have worked with all three for years, and the same crew will install for any of them.

How a Cambridgeshire installation works

How a Cambridgeshire installation works — Graceland on site
  1. 01

    Enquire

Send the drawings, area and programme. We assess the system per bay on paper first; if a Cambridgeshire site visit is useful, it can usually be arranged promptly.

  2. 02

    Plan and RAMS

A method statement, risk assessment and CDM 2015-mapped RAMS pack lands with your principal designer for sign-off. Nothing on site until that pack is approved.

  3. 03

    Install

A two- or three-person crew lays the deck in one visit, walks the platform with your site agent, and the jointly countersigned Handover Certificate puts it formally into service.

  4. 04

    Dismantle

A single planned visit once the trades above are finished. Every component visually inspected on the way out, defects quarantined, the area handed back clean.
