Graceland in Suffolk

Suffolk runs east of us along the A14 — Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds first, then Stowmarket and Ipswich on the eastern coast, with Felixstowe and Lowestoft at the far edges of the county. The A14 carries everything across the centre of Suffolk, the A12 picks up the southern coast toward Essex, and the A11 connects the western side back into Cambridgeshire. Suffolk is part of the East Anglia footprint Graceland has worked across for years, and most Suffolk surveys are booked the same week the call comes in.

What we install across Suffolk

Suffolk's housebuilding plots — the steady multi-plot work across the Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and greater Ipswich corridors — are mostly Trad Deck, the polypropylene panel system rated to Load Class 3 under BS EN 12811-1:2003 with a safe working load of 2.0 kN/m² UDL inclusive of operatives and Class B material fragility under ACR[M]001:2014. Trad Deck's pattern repetition is the right answer plot after plot.

For suitable port-adjacent industrial and warehouse areas around Felixstowe and along the A14, G-Deck Lite can be recommended where fast steel handling supports the programme. Either system is a fall-prevention working platform, not a crash deck, and the Handover Certificate names the system on the file.

Who we work with in Suffolk

National and regional housebuilders running multi-plot programmes across Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Ipswich and the wider Suffolk towns. Commercial principal contractors on the steel-framed industrial and distribution work that tracks the A14 and the Felixstowe corridor. Care-home operators on new build and refurbishment across the county's market towns. The same Graceland crew installs for all three.

How a Suffolk installation works

How a Suffolk installation works — Graceland on site
  1. 01

    Enquire

Send the drawings, area and programme. We assess the bay or plot geometry on paper first and arrange a Suffolk survey only where it adds value.

  2. 02

    Plan and RAMS

A method statement, risk assessment and CDM 2015-mapped RAMS pack lands with your principal designer for sign-off before anything goes on site.

  3. 03

    Install

A two- or three-person crew installs the deck in one planned visit and walks the completed platform with your site agent. A jointly countersigned Handover Certificate puts it formally into service.

  4. 04

    Dismantle

A single planned visit once the trades above are finished. Every component visually inspected on the way out, defects quarantined, the area handed back clean.
